A festive holiday drink made with pomegranate juice for a fun spin on a classic margarita!

If you're looking for a simple and festive holiday drink (sans the headache), look no further than this vibrant, non-alcoholic Pomegranate Margarita recipe. In case you missed it, I also share a demonstration on how to make this drink on FOX Studio 13 Live!

A make-ahead batched drink is my idea of meal prep. When you’re racing to get things ready for guests the stars don’t always align the way we wish they would, so it’s so nice to have this ready and sitting in your fridge. Batching and pre-making drinks for a group does require a little planning, a little math, but it’s so helpful when it comes to entertaining during the holidays.

The tartness of the pomegranates pairs beautifully with the nonalcoholic tequila and orange liqueur (both found at Boisson), and you avoid the overly sweet taste that often plagues a flavored margarita. The result is a simple, straightforward, and incredibly festive mocktail — the perfect addition to any holiday spread.

Working with Non-Alcoholic Product

Your recipes and ratios will often change when working with non-alcoholic products. The flavors are different, the intensity is different - it's just not exactly the same as alcohol, so you may need to tweak your favorite recipes when converting them with non-alcoholic products. The best bet is to taste and test, and adjust to your liking.

Ingredients - Makes 8

Instructions:

  • Add all liquid ingredients to a large pitcher.

  • Stir well. Chill in fridge and can be made the evening before and chilled overnight. I wouldn't make it too much further in advance because of the fresh lime juice.

  • When ready to serve, use a lime wedge to rim your glasses and salt (or omit). Garish with a few fresh pomegranate seeds or fancy ice cubes and a lime wedge. Cheers!
